  • Defence and security company Saab will attend the 10th Exponaval – International Naval and Maritime Exhibition and Conference for Latin America. The event will be held from November 29 to December 2, 2016, at the Concón Naval Air Station in Viña del Mar, Chile.

     
  • Defence and security company Saab and Embraer Defense & Security have today inaugurated the Gripen Design and Development Network (GDDN) in Gavião Peixoto, in the state of São Paulo. The GDDN will be the hub for the Gripen NG technology development in Brazil for Saab and Embraer together with the Brazilian partner industries and institutions, AEL Sistemas, Atech, Akaer and the Brazilian Air Force, through its research department DCTA.

  • Saab Receives Order for Advanced Simulators from FMV

    The defence and security company Saab has received an order for new laser simulators from the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV). The order value is MSEK 95 and deliveries will be made during 2017.

     
  • Defence and Security company Saab has received three orders from the U.S. Army Program Executive Office of Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEOSTRI). Saab will now provide OSAG 2.0 interoperability upgrades for the U.S. 7th ATC’s Deployable Instrumentation System – Europe (DISE) and the Combat Vehicle Tactical Engagement Simulation System (CVTESS) to meet U.S. Army and European forward deployment interoperability requirements.

     
  • Defence and security company Saab has deployed its first Common Operating Picture (COP): an extension of Saab’s KleinPort port management information system (PMIS) that makes ports more efficient and competitive. As of November 1st 2016, Flinders Ports in Australia began live utilization of the KleinPort COP.

     
  • Saab Comments on Arbitration Panel’s Judgement in Patent Dispute

    Defence and security company Saab received on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 the declaratory judgement from the Arbitration Panel regarding the interpretation and application of agreements on patents between Saab Transponder Tech and the company GP&C (Håkan Lans).

     
  • Defence and security company Saab has signed a contract with RIOgaleão, the concessionaire responsible for managing the Tom Jobim International Airport in Rio de Janeiro, to supply a common-use surface surveillance platform. The system increases the efficiency of aircraft operations on the ground and contributes to reduced flight delays. RIOgaleão, the second busiest international airport in Brazil, will be the first airport in Latin America to use this technology.

     
  • Defence and security company Saab has received an order from the Swedish Defence Material Administration (FMV) for an advanced helmet mounted display (HMD) system, called Targo. The new system will be used for the Swedish Air Force’s Gripen E fighter aircraft. The order value is approximately SEK 119 million. Deliveries will take place between 2022 and 2026.

     
  • The defence and security company Saab has signed a support contract for airborne surveillance systems. The contract is valid for 2016-2017 and the order is valued at MSEK 200.
