Saab Bofors Dynamics AB has received an order

from The Swedish Defence
Material Administration for mobile Underwater Data Acquisition Systems

Saab Bofors Dynamics AB has received an order for mobile Underwater Data
Acquisition Systems (UDAS) which register ship signatures.

Each system consists of a chain of submerged and independent sensors of
type BMP 202, which simultaneously detect acoustic, magnetic, pressure and
electric field signatures from passing ships. The signatures are
transmitted via a fiber optic cable to a land-based storage and evaluation
system that is mounted in a climate controlled container which has its own
diesel power generator.

The order includes equipment for measuring the position of the ship as it
passes, as well as video cameras for monitoring the area being measured.

Delivery will take place during year 2001.
