Sunday April 3 five Gripen fighters from the Swedish Air Force made a stop at the Hungarian air force base Kecskemét. The aircraft was headed for Sicily from where they will operate in the NATO led air operation over Libya.
On the Sunday the Gripen fighters made a stop at the Kecskemét air force base for refuelling. The Swedish Libya force is stationed in the Sigonella base in the Italian island of Sicily. As of Sunday April 3 the Swedish Gripen fighters now rest under the command of NATO.
The Swedish mission in Libya includes eight Gripen fighters with ten pilots and a Hercules transport aircraft for air refuelling.
