There is a growing need for complete support solutions, including an embedded management capability rather than provision of stand-alone services. We asked Jonas Hjelm, who is responsible Saabs comprehensive support solution offer, how important well-functioning support and maintenance is for an operator.
- I would say that it is crucial. Support can determine how well a product works and can ensure that it is used as intended. Any operator who does not have a high quality, customized support system with ground equipment, spare parts, buildings and logistics support cannot make full use of their equipment throughout its service life, says Jonas Hjelm, head of Saab´s Business Area Support and Services.
