SK60 A true servant for many more years to come

Using the expression “a true servant” is not an exaggeration when it comes to describing the SK 60 trainer aircraft. The Saab produced aircraft has been in the air for over 50 years and has served in active duty within the Swedish Armed Forces since 1967.

In 2015 Saab signed an agreement with the Swedish Defence Material Administration, FMV, for the extended support and maintenance of the Swedish Air Forces’ SK 60 aircraft. The contract came into place 1 July 2017 and will run for three years. The extended support agreement means that Saab maintains responsibility for ensuring that the trainers will be fully airworthy and available within the Swedish Airforce wings.
