Why did you apply to the graduate programme?
I saw Saab as an interesting company and I liked the combination of competitive business together with the latest state-of-the-art technology that the company develops. The graduate programme was therefore a great opportunity to quickly learn about several parts of the company, boost my own development and to gain a personal experience beyond the normal; all while building a solid foundation for my future career.
Is the programme what you expected it to be like? Why or why not?
I think the programme in many aspects has been as I expected, except that I feel much more involved than I would have expected in the actual work being carried out at the rotation sites. The projects I have worked on have been of great importance and I feel that my contribution was important.
What do you like most about your business unit?
I like that the business unit Surveillance has a great international footprint with almost 50% of its employees based on sites outside of Sweden. To work in a multicultural and diverse environment, where you interact with enthusiastic and proud people all around the world, is something I like.
What is the most surprising thing you have learned about Saab?
Saab employees are proud to work for their company and love what they do. Therefore, many of the Saab employees have worked for the company for very long time.
What has been the most memorable experience so far?
My most memorable experience so far is definitely my nine-week rotation to Saab’s office in Centurion, South Africa. I find it interesting to work and live in another country since you are able to comprehend things that you never would from just visit the country for a week or two.
