Saab Australia are looking for Systems Engineers and we are now seeking expressions of interest.
We have exciting opportunities for career minded systems engineers or specialist domain experienced engineers ready to move into systems engineering to work in multiple projects across the Maritime combat system domain.
You are the person Saab Australia is looking for, if you have sounds systems thinking and/or demonstrable domain relevant engineering skills.
Your skills and experience
Experience in a similar role preferably within the Defence sector;
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant engineering discipline;
Developed and managed system requirements and design documents such as system and subsystem specifications, product breakdown structure, design documents, component specifications and interface specifications;
Performed system engineering activities such as: requirements management, functional analysis, candidate solution development, system design, system analysis, integration, system tests, acceptance tests and certification;
Performed analysis to define and characterise the system and its components;
Used domain, discipline and systems engineering understanding to ensure enabling, supporting and delivered products that meet their requirements and are fit for purpose;
Developed work statements and technically manage suppliers;
Participated in ensuring that the design meets all statutory regulatory requirements;
Developed and executed system tests and agreed component tests which ensured that the implemented designs conform to their specifications;
Integrated components in a logical manner to ensure that emergent properties and limitations are exposed and acceptable;
Maintained the design and its documentation in accordance with the applicable configuration management, change management and traceability processes;
Reviewed peers' work, identify technical risks and unknowns and support planning activities.
