Your role

Saab Sensis is looking for 4 Senior Software Engineers to lead small teams in the development of several components of Collaborative Decision Making (CDM) software in support of the FAA’s Terminal Flight Data Manager (TFDM) program. TFDM is a multi-year program that aims to modernize 89 ATC Towers in the U.S. by deploying a combination of Electronic Flight Strips and surface collaborative decision making capabilities. You will lead your teams through the entire software design process and interface as needed with the prime contractor.    You will play a primary role in integrating the CDM software with the Electronic Flight Strips software within the TFDM program.


 

Your skills and experience

  • BA/BS degree in computer science or related discipline
  • 3 - 8+ years experience in software development

 Required Skills:

  • Experience in C++ software development
  • Experience in software design and architecture
  • Experience in development of large, complex software systems
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Experience working with Linux-based systems
  • GUI development experience
  • Relational Database experience (SQL)

Desired Skills:

  • Self-driven and proactive
  • Experience leading or mentoring junior engineers
  • Experience working on FAA type programs


A
