Saab Traffic Management (TM) serves air traffic and marine customers around the globe with advanced solutions that enable the safe and efficient movement of people and goods. There are two operating units within TM:  Air Traffic Management (ATM) provides airport surface safety and efficiency systems and tools, tower automation and advanced research, development and evaluation solutions; Maritime Traffic Management (MTM) solutions include Automatic Identification Systems (AIS), port and vessel traffic management information systems (VTMIS), hydrographics, and precision navigation.

Your role

Saab Air Traffic Management (ATM) is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Business Finance organization reporting to the ATM Director of Finance. This position will have dual responsibilities as the Finance Lead supporting key domestic and international programs for a business segment along with internal Saab reporting responsibilities for the Consolidated ATM financial results, forecasts, budget and all other reporting requirements.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Primary financial interface for ATM contracts interfacing with program teams and Segment Leads tracking and forecasting financial performance
  • Prepare P&L and cash flow forecasts including the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long range planning
  • Assist with the consolidation and analysis of ATM financial inputs
  • Complete HFM (Hyperion Financial Manager) inputs for monthly, quarterly and annual results and forecasts
  • Ensure accurate revenue recognition and profitability; monitor cash flow, expenditures, receivables, open commitments, monthly closing information, and Estimate at Completion change management
  • Prepare P&L and cash flow forecasts including the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long range planning
  • Support program managers with their project setup, budgets, cost & revenue monitoring, customer reports and other tasks as needed
  • Prepare financial reporting package for Program Management Reviews and other financial reviews
  • Perform variance analysis and assist team with insightful analysis
  • Provide proposal cost support and review contract clauses for new business opportunities
  • Generate excel models, charts and analysis as required
  • Finance liaison between Shared Services Finance and Business Area program managers and segment leads

 

Your skills and experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting with 5-8 years of experience. MBA a plus
  • 6-8 years experience in a financial analyst or equivalent role
  • Familiarity with financial reporting
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task
  • Strong skills with MS Excel spreadsheets, pivot tables & graphing
  • Ability to interface with various program teams and work effectively with various levels of the organization, other ATM entities and TM management
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly Oracle E-business Suite and Hyperion Financial Management
  • Comfortable taking direction from many sources and willing to meet tight deadlines when necessary
