Electronic Waste Disposal Services

Saab has been a pre-processor of electronics waste from the defence industry for many years.

Our electronic waste disposal is certified according to Environmental Management System Standard SS-EN-ISO 14001:2004.

Saab is also certified according to the Swedish National Environmental Protection Agency regulation NFS 2005:10, concerning pre-treatment of waste from electric and electronic equipment. We are approved to dismantle electronic waste that includes hazard material and substances.
We have approved routines for handling both classified and non-classified materials.

Dismantling, handling and disposal

During the environmentally correctly performed dismantling, the waste is separated into:

Electronics
Steel/iron
Aluminum
Health and environmentally hazardous components

After separation the waste is sent for recycling or destruction.
