Saab offers service bulletins with associated material kits, including necessary tools, for reliability improvements and/or cost reduction and for compliance with new or changed authority requirement The Service Bulletin is an approved document that provides the customer with instructions regarding aircraft modification and/or inspections.
The Service Bulletins are issued to improve:

The Service News Letter is an informational document that provides the customer with information regarding:
- Forthcoming service bulletins
- Interchangeability or future spare part numbers
- Field problems
