ISTAR

IMPROVING AWARENESS WITH EXTENDED SENSOR CAPABILITIES

Weapon locating system

The current battlefield is difficult to read. In addition to improvised explosive devices (IEDs), mortars and rockets are the enemy’s weapons of choice.

Fighting units need the capability to quickly locate firing rocket launchers, artillery guns or mortars and transmit the data to the Command & Control (C2) system within seconds.

The possibility to react rapidly can discourage the enemy from trying to attack you and to estimate the impact points in advance and can be used to warn the soldiers on the ground.

Enemy artillery is the greatest threat to your operations. If only you knew the location of the artillery, your chances would improve.
