  • Defence and security company Saab has received the first order, under a five-year agreement recently signed with the New Zealand Army, to deliver a high fidelity Tactical Engagement Simulation System (TESS). This initial order will provide the army with a proven, off-the-shelf and technically advanced training system.

    Defence and security company Saab will on August 19, together with the Danish Defence Minister, Mr. Peter Christensen, inaugurate the company’s new office in Sønderborg, Denmark. Saab is growing in Denmark and acts as a hub for high technology communication systems.

     
  • Defence and security company Saab has signed a contract with the Australian Defence Force to upgrade the Army’s RBS 70 ground-based air defence weapon system and Giraffe AMB radar. The contract has a combined value of approximately AUD32.5 million.

     
  • Defence and security company Saab has received an order from the German company Krauss-Maffei Wegmann Gmbh regarding development of new vehicle electronics for the Leopard 2 tank. The order value is approximately SEK130 million. Deliveries will be made during the period 2018–2022.

    Defence and security company Saab has received an order from the Swedish Defence Material Administration (FMV) for deliveries of Carl-Gustaf ammunition to the Swedish Army. The order value amounts to approximately SEK122 million and final delivery will take place during 2017.

    Defence and security company Saab has received an ammunition order from the US Department of Defense (DoD) for the Carl-Gustaf man-portable weapon system, known in the US as M3 MAAWS (Multi-role, Anti-armor Anti-personnel Weapon System). The order value is USD 5.4 million (MSEK 46).

  • Defence and security company Saab has signed a contract in the UK with the Police and Crime Commissioners for West Mercia and Warwickshire to provide a unified control room and mobile data solution for mission-critical operations across both police force areas. The placement of this 6 year contract forms part of the previous framework contract created by Cheshire Constabulary in December 2015. Delivery will take place in the period of 2016-2017.
