What you will be a part of
Air Traffic Management (ATM) is a unit within Saab, which develops world-leading air traffic management systems. The systems are used to operate airport operations and provide air traffic as efficiently and safely as possible, for all the smaller to the major airports in the world. Our ATM business is currently located in Gothenburg, Växjö, Apeldoorn (Netherlands) and Syracuse (USA).

We are looking for a skillful system developer in order to strengthen the Swedish part of the business in Växjö, within one of our Remote Tower (see link) development teams.
You will get to work with the entire system development process and therefore need broad knowledge and an ambition to develop your skills further. We believe in an open and flat organization where everyone's views are welcome and are a prerequisite for our continuous development. We value commitment and an outgoing and creative personality.
In Sweden, our department consists of around 40 system developers distributed in Växjö and Gothenburg, divided into 6 scrum teams. You will work in one of the teams, who, with creativity, technology know-how and commitment, will develop the market's best solutions in air traffic management. We develop our systems mainly in C++ and C#. Your daily tasks will include encoding, correcting, searching bugs, testing, documenting and reviewing amongst other things.
Your skills and experience
You have a College/University education with a focus on software development, or equivalent work experience. We also think you do programming as part of your free time and find it easy to learn new things.
Experience of the following is an advantage:
- C/C++ development in the Windows environment
- Development with Qt
- Write portable code for both Windows and Linux environments
- C# and .NET
- Participation in the development of major software systems
- Software products and their life cycles
- Security-critical systems
- Scrum, agile methods
- Domain knowledge from Air Traffic Management
