Layered Images A Guide for Agencies

Layered images show how our thinking edge enables us to consider both the bigger picture and the smallest details of a scenario. They do this by contrasting close-up and wide-angle views of the same scenario.

In the example above, we want to tell a story about how Saab’s thinking edge has led not only to an advanced fighter plane, but also how it provides an excellent pilot experience. We therefore show a wide-angle image of the Gripen in flight, and a close-up image showing the pilot in the plane.

This section contains guidance for design agencies needing to create layered images. Saab users should not attempt to create layered images on their own.

Layered images should only be created by Saab’s design agencies. When briefing an agency, you should first decide the story you want to tell, and then develop your brief from that story.
