Thoughts about being halfway through the program

It is now 8 months since the Saab Graduate Leadership Program started and I am now more than halfway through the program. The past 8 months have been packed with rotations at different parts of Saab, team weeks and of course a lot fun!

In my future role, I will be working at Dynamics and mainly with Saab’s weapon systems. During the first months of the program I mainly had my rotations within Dynamics in order to strengthen my understanding of how we develop, produce and sell our products. It has been a great experience with rotations at some of the different sites.

Besides my rotations, I have also visited other Business Areas and sites during team weeks with the seven other graduates. During the team weeks, the entire graduate group visit different sites in and outside of Sweden which results in a lot of learning more about Saab’s products (and of course lots of laughs). The team weeks are not just centered around learning more about Saab’s business and products, it is also a chance to get to know the other graduates, which we by now really do.

During my most recent rotation, I spent twelve weeks at the Marketing and Sales department at the Business Unit Ground Combat. I had the opportunity to participate in the work with marketing and sales of our Ground Combat’s products, which has been a fantastic and fun experience. Having the opportunity to visit our customers has given me a better understanding of how Saab’s products gives our customers the ability to provide safety for their people.

With the rest of the program packed with rotations and Team Weeks in Sweden and abroad, I am certain the rest of the SGLP will be as awesome as the past 8 months.

If I had to describe the graduate year with one word, so far, I would have to go with unforgettable.
