Why did you apply to the graduate programme?
In my eyes, the graduate programme that Saab offers is more than just a regular graduate programme. The graduates have the opportunity to tailor the year according to their own interest. For me, as a curious engineer, I saw this is the perfect opportunity to evolve as a project manager, explore different parts of the company, and establish a great foundation for my future career.

What is it like to be a graduate at Saab?
As a graduate at Saab one must always try to anticipate tomorrow, be open minded and ready to take on a challenge. In my case- things changes rapidly. A typical period of this year can contain one week in Karlskrona, and then the next couple of weeks in London, Brussels and Paris. After this help is needed at my home department and I’m back in Järfälla. Every day meeting many interesting colleagues and taking part in different projects is truly rewarding.

To whom would you recommend the programme?
To become a successful graduate at Saab I believe one needs a strong inner drive and a healthy portion of curiosity. The programme aims to create future leaders whom take responsibility for their own personal development and are prepared to go outside of their comfort zone. If you are ready for this challenge then I would strongly recommend this programme.
Is the programme what you expected it to be like? Why or why not?
The programme exceeded my expectations; I could have never anticipated the programme to provide such high level of freedom and support regarding what I want to learn more about and how I want to plan the graduate year.

What has been the most memorable experience so far?
So far there have been so many memorable experiences, but if I have to choose one it must be when I got the opportunity to take part in an installation procedure on a Visby Corvette in Karlskrona. Here I had the opportunity to actually see the products our organisation produces being installed, tested, and used by the end user.
