Do you want to participate in the further development of the controlling of Saab’s IT operations? We are now looking for a business minded controller for one of our major IT operations areas.  

Your role
In your role as a Functional Controller you are the proactive “right hand“ to line managers in all financial matters. You are also responsible for and driver of developing financial models, and create an understanding and acceptance of the financial control, financial processes and the purpose of these. Furthermore, you are an active member in your department management team as well as in our controlling team.

As a Functional Controller you will be:

  • Responsible for the financial analysis of the department, e.g. costs, forecasts, resource usage, investments and cash flow, in cooperation with the line manager.  You also deliver formal financial reporting such as monthly closing and forecasts including analysis and management summaries.   
  • Active regarding changing conditions which has an impact on the business as early as possible and give “early warnings"  
  • A communicator and educator of business related issues to line managers and service owners. You will also act as speaking partner and support to service owners who is responsible for budgeting and pricing of services.
  • A speaking partner and right-hand to line managers in cost efficiency related questions, e.g. review of decision material from a business case perspective and understand and describe the financial impact of upcoming decisions

Your profile

To be successful in this role you have an academic degree in economics and probably 3-10 years of controlling experience, preferably within the areas of business operations, development, IT or equivalent work experience. Agresso usage experience is an advantage. We believe you are a social and outgoing person with a great interest and understanding of financial processes and operational efficiency.

You are a problem solver, willing to put effort into finding a way forward. Furthermore, you are perceived as a change agent type of person who brings up new ideas and new ways of approaching work related issues that also lead to results. As a person you have a strategic approach, strong analytical skills and the ability to prioritize effectively. In addition, you have good communication skills, verbally and in writing, in both Swedish and English.

What you will be a part of
Group ICT is the internal IT supplier at Saab, responsible for delivering cost effective, standardized IT tools and support functions to Saab’s operational areas - business areas, market areas and Group Functions - independent of geography. We are approximately 330 employees in Sweden, and in addition to this, consultants and IT companies work in close cooperation with us. Group ICT is in a phase of development with many changes including global cooperation.

You will be part of the Group ICT Finance team and will primarily work with controlling within our major IT operations supplying organization.
