Our main activities include development projects, product change and improvement and technical support to production. We work in cross-functional teams with designers, stress engineers and manufacturing engineering in all the phases of the product life cycle. The engineering department is a relatively small group and the tasks show great variation so a broad engineering knowledge is desirable.
As our teams are usually relatively small groups (2 to 10), team leading may be part of your role. This means responsibility for the group's performance goals in terms of technology, time and cost. As Aerostructures operates in an increasingly international environment, international business trips can occur and in addition, some work may be required abroad with partners.
You have engineering education at university level or equivalent with a focus on mechanics, light weight structure, design, stress analysis and preferably with some years of experience. It is an advantage if you have held a team leading role before. You have a logical mind and are stimulated by cooperation to achieve your goals. Catia or Hyperworks are our main tool and experience is positive.
Good knowledge of English is a prerequisite because verbal and written communication with our partners takes place in English and most of our documentation is in English. When we start with new projects, there is usually an opportunity to work on-site with the customer for a period.

The Industrial Products & Services business area (IPS) includes the business units Aerostructures, Avionics and Combitech as well as Venture's portfolio of fully and partly owned companies. IPS acts as a holding organization where each business develops and works with strategies for profitable growth according to the prerequisites of each respective market. The majority of the business is done on a business-to-business market. The business area has approximately 2,400 employees and has a turnover of approximately SEK 4 billion.
The Aerostructures business unit delivers aircraft structure and systems and is an integrator with overall responsibility for the development, industrialization and manufacturing for civil aviation industry worldwide. Our customers are mainly Airbus and Boeing, but the production of composite parts for the Gripen program, Saab Dynamics products and Ruag Space is also included in the business.
The engineering organization include responsibility and competence for design, stress, weight, composite manufacturing engineering and aircraft assembly, tool design, method and technology development, automation, technical production support and change management. We are now looking for a designer and/or stress engineer for the Development and Technical support department where design, stress, weight and technical production support are included.
This position requires that you will be approved in a security screening in accordance with the Swedish Protective Security Act.
