Saab Sensis is in search of motivated, enthusiastic engineering/science (software, electrical, math, and physics) student(s) who would be interested in putting their studies to real-work practice through a Fall (Sept. - Dec.) Co-op/Intern opportunity at our Collamer location in East Syracuse, NY.
As part of the CDM and Efficiency group, you would be working with our System Engineers to perform data analysis. You would need the ability to parse large data files and look for data anomalies that relate to the reported issue. You would also conduct and support system integration in a laboratory environment and an operational environment.
Your skills and experience
- Ability to systematically evaluate data
- Some software programming experience and ability to read and understand software code
- Experience working with Unix-based systems (Linux)
- Must be able to work in a dynamic team environment.
- Relational Database experience (SQL)
- Java experience
- HTML and other web/mobile development technologies would be a plus
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Enrollment in an accredited degree program, with a major in Software or Electrical Engineering, or Math or Physics.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better
- Must have completed Sophomore year or greater
