The Saab Graduate Leadership Programme is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain a large network, a holistic view of the company, the job and leadership. The Saab Graduate Leadership program reflects the diversity of opportunities at Saab, and we are looking for individuals with the right skills to lead technological development and change.

The program is an extended and in-depth introduction to the company, the job and leadership, which will help develop your career at Saab. Seize that opportunity fully – and you will grow! You will be employed to the specific area that you apply for from day one.

Read more about our programme here.

Your role

During the programme, you will get the opportunity to create an overall understanding of the company that will prepare you for an exciting future together with us. Your development will be aligned with Saab’s business goals and the programme will enable you to contribute to our business and take part in actual projects.

You will have a steep learning curve that will prepare you for a position in our marketing and sales team. As a sales manager, you will lead people and win business in a bid team structure. In this position you will interface the customer and manage internal expertise within all aspects of a business and a contract.

Part of your time, you will work for the products and strategy department, which is responsible to set the business unit strategy, define and manage our products for the future and drive our product operations. Products and strategy comprises around 10 people but employs many more as part of the product operations.

Working in these two departments, you will be part of a fast-paced, international environment that operates both on the long-term and short-term, and relates to many aspects of our business.

Your profile

As we are looking for future leaders, you need to have a genuine interest in people. You understand that collaboration and curiosity are essential success factors for a business to grow and for people to thrive at their workplace. You are flexible, humble and spread positive energy.

You have an overall business understanding, possess a strategic thinking and deliver excellent results. Your motivation and commitment help you, and people around you, to perform on a daily basis.

To be a successful graduate, you have a Bachelor's or Master's degree within engineering, finance or business. You have recently graduated or approximately two years of work experience. We believe that you have an interest and broad understanding of the defence sector. Military experience is an advantage but not a requirement.

This position requires that you will be approved in a security screening in accordance with the Swedish Protective Security Act.

What you will be a part of

For more than a year, you will participate in an international programme that is uniquely designed to boost your career as well as to provide you with the right toolbox to develop as a leader. From day one, you will be appointed to a position with permanent employment at one of Saab’s sites worldwide.

You will become part of the marketing and sales department at the business unit Combat Systems and C4I Solutions. Marketing and sales is responsible for securing the short-term and long-term order intake for the business unit. The customers comprise defence forces, shipyards and OEMs across the globe. The department consists of around 12 people working with the marketing and sales of our products and offers in the air, naval and land domains.
