As a mechanical systems engineer you get the opportunity to work with submarines through the entire life cycle, which means everything from requirement capture and definition, system design and verification. You translate the customer's requirements and needs into technical requirements and system architecture. From a business perspective, you define the right solution in terms of cost, time and performance. You work closely with other internal disciplines, subcontractors and the customer. You continuously support the design engineers during the project phase, are involved in the preparation and review of design documentation and you take part in the final commissioning. The work is done in smaller project teams with skilled and fantastic colleagues. You report to the Manager for Mechanical Systems.

We are looking for you who are self-driven, accurate and prestigious and who enjoy working and collaborating with other people. Preferably you have worked a couple of years in similar roles but we are also interested in you who are newly graduated.
- Mechanical engineer, Master of Science or Bachelor, or have other equivalent technical background.
- Fluent in Swedish and English in speech and writing.
- Experience from engineering work with complex products and preferably in larger international companies.
What you will be a part of
At the department Mechanical Systems, Power Conversion and Safety, we obtain and develop mechanical systems for both surface vessels and submarines. The biggest challenge for us is the new development of the submarine A26, but we also work with other products such as further development and maintenance of existing submarines and multiple surface vessels as well as research projects. We have many contact areas and cooperate with other internal subsystems and disciplines as well as with international subcontractors. The section consists of about 15 employees and consultants placed in Malmö.
