What you will be a part of
Saab Finland OY started collaborating with Aalto University in February 2017. The scope of the collaboration is to conduct long-term research in the area of sensor to guarantee winning products. The expectation is to further strengthen the position of professors and researchers, gain insight and results for the next generation of sensors and to educate new doctors in the field. The Saab Sensor Research Program with Aalto will work in close collaboration with the Saab business areas, in particular with Saab Surveillance.
We are now looking for doctoral students for the areas of signal processing, microelectronics, and artificial intelligence. You might have industrial experience or you might have recently graduated. You hold a Master's degree in the respective fields. You are inspired to start doctoral studies in the globally leading Aalto teams in close collaboration with the industry-leading Saab experts. You are passionate and creative, you get things done, and you are a team player but ready to challenge. You will be on Saab payroll but spend the majority of your working time at Aalto Campus in Otaniemi. Your credentials are high in order to get approved for doctoral studies at Aalto University.
Your skills and experience
- In signal processing you have worked in with telecommunication or radars in implementing signal processing algorithms. You have strong analytical skills and you know the key methods and tools in the field.
- In microelectronics you have experience in implementing RF, analog or mixed-signal circuits on silicon processes. You master the design flow from system architecture to silicon-level layout.
- In artificial intelligence you have experience in working with big data, data analytics and mining. You have good command over the main methods in machine learning and artificial intelligence.
You are fluent (both orally and in writing) in English. Skills in Finnish and/or Swedish language are seen as beneficial for the job.
