We are now looking for a Project Manager with proven leading skills. You will belong to the Project Management Organisation (PMO) which is responsible for implementing customer contracts. At SMT, PMO to date consists of five Project Managers and the Head of PMO.
As a Project Manager you will execute one or more customer contracts at a time. You will lead a project team with focus on customer projects with a high portion of IT and software. This includes the responsibility and authority to achieve the agreed goals and results in the project and to ensure we deliver according to our customer contract and fulfill the customer needs. Product status, project progress and potential issues shall be communicated continuously to both customers and internal steering committees. A high degree of willingness to travel is a prerequisite.
You will also be involved in customer proposals. This may include initial budget and project planning as part of the quotation phase.
A number of our projects are executed in close cooperation with other Saab units. Building a good relationship and a good way of working between us is essential for our common business.
Your skills and experience
We are looking for a person with the ability to penetrate complex issues and to function well with different people in order to get the best out of a team. You enjoy working in an environment where you have a mixture of technology, leadership and business in your day to day work.
You have a degree in economic or technical studies, preferably in communications technology, computer science or similar.
You have experience in project management (certificate is beneficial) including a sound knowledge of common project management tools (MS-Office, MS-Project, etc.).
Preferably you have a background in software development/ systems engineering.
Strong communicative skills in English both verbally and in writing is a requirement. Knowledge in German is advantageous.
