What you will be part of

Surveillance, one of Saab business areas, provides efficient solutions for surveillance and decision support, and for threat detection and protection. The portfolio covers airborne, ground-based and naval radar, electronic warfare and combat systems and command & control solutions. Surveillance is an international Business Area with sites in seven countries and the main sites in Sweden are Gothenburg and Järfälla. With a sales oriented organisation and a growing interest in our products the tempo is always high. The need for a rapid and well-structured communication is constant for all parts of our business. You will be part of a small, dedicated Communication team, with a mission to give the best possible communication supporting the overall goal to reach our strategic business goals.

Your role

We are looking for a Senior Communications Manager with responsibility for supporting the mega deals and other larger business cases. You will deliver senior level communication support to the marketing & sales organisation both globally and to several markets across the world. You will also work in close co-operation with Corporate functions such as Press, Editorial and Brand. You will be part of Surveillance communication team and report to Head of Surveillance Communication.

Your role

  • To co-ordinate mega-deals related communication activities globally in collaboration with regional/global colleagues to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging and delivery
  • Create strategies and establish, communicate and monitor yearly plans and budgets
  • Ensure maximum efficiency and an integrated communication effect approach allocating necessary resources (external suppliers/PR-agencies/ internal resources) to create an efficient operation and output
  • Act as an internal motivator and strategic advisor within the field of communication
  • Be up-to-date on analytical reports and use findings to optimize communication tactics and strategy

 

Your skills and experience

We are looking for a target-driven and goal-oriented person with excellent communication skills. You are a team-player with a service-minded and solution-oriented approach and you have a good analytical ability and a high flexibility to handle and respond to upcoming situations.

You are genuinely business and operations oriented, and have experience of working with communication in an international company. You have good knowledge of strategic and operational work and communication. You have the ability to analyse the market´s communicative conditions and local culture and to set priorities based on financial limits.

Senior experience of working in corporate communications organizations and/or other equivalent experience is a requirement, as well as experience from defining and procuring external services, such as PR agencies and suppliers.

A relevant academic education; Bachelor’s degree in marketing, media, PR, communication or equivalent, is desirable. You need to be fully fluent in English verbally as well as in writing.

This position requires that you will be approved in a security screening in accordance with the Swedish Protective Security Act.
