Surveillance provides efficient solutions for safety and security, for surveillance and decision support, and for threat detection and protection. The portfolio covers airborne, ground-based and naval radar, electronic warfare, combat systems and C4I solutions, and traffic management systems.
The business unit Electronic Warfare (EW) Systems provides world class innovative systems and services that utilize the Electromagnetic Spectrum for protection, detection, location and monitoring. We also provide tools for intelligence analysis of the information gathered.
Tactics and Technologies is a section within the Systems Design Department and provides resources and competence within a broad range of technical and system engineering aspects to research and development projects in the EW Systems business unit. In particular, the Tactics & Technologies section is involved in:
- System design and requirements handling
- Evaluation and enhancement of system performance
- Test and verification of system components
- Improvement and and implementation of Technology
In this position as a senior Systems Engineer you will join a project team performing systems engineering, i.e. design and development of EW-systems. As a senior Systems Engineer, you will also take ownership and responsibility for parts of the systems’ design work.
An important part of the job is to understand, develop and handle requirements of system components with respect of performance and reliability. Systems Engineering modeling to assure satisfactory performance is a vital part of the work. A good understanding of signal processing and propagation of signals through a measurement system is also crucial in order to obtain efficient and reliable system performance.
To be successful in the job, it is necessary to communicate and collaborate well within the project team as well as with people elsewhere in the EW-organization.
You will report to the Head of Tactics & Technologies.
Your skills and experience
We are now looking for a senior Systems Engineer with a broad and strong knowledge and competence in engineering physics, signal processing and measurement technology.
Ideally, you have at least 5 - 10 years experience in working as a Systems Engineer in the field of advanced measurement systems and signal processing.
We think you have the following competence and skills:
- At least a Master degree in Engineering Physics or similar
- Preferably good knowledge in Matlab, Python, C++ and/or Java or similar
- You should be:
- Outspoken and used to working in projects with challenging time lines and high pace
- Unafraid of asking people for support
