Saab Australia is looking to recruit a Field Support Technician who will be responsible for planning and performing routine and preventative maintenance activities in Defence and Government sites for Saab’s Security System installations. This high calibre technician will work in some of Australia’s most secure and technologically advanced sites.

In this position, you will be required to plan and perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks for Saab’s Oneview™ installations across NSW Defence and Government sites, in accordance with Saab’s contracts. Some of the systems include SMS, CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarm, Video Analytics and Intercom.
Your experiences and skills
You will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Security Industry with a demonstrated understanding of networking and ICT. Solid Networking and Switch configuration fault finding abilities will set you apart from the rest. Your experience working with IP based systems, security systems hardware and design, configuration and installation of intruder alarm systems or Gallagher access control will be desirable in you performing the role to a superior standard. You will show proven ability to configure analogue and IP based CCTV and intercom systems, with the ability to fault find and rectify faults and service and maintenance of security system equipment.
You will possess good problem solving skills and the ability to develop innovative alternative solutions along with excellent attention to detail. You will accept training on the latest head end technologies provided by Saab enabling you to adapt to new tasks, technologies, processes and procedures.
Formal qualifications in Networking /electronics and or Security, would be highly regarded.
