What you will be a part of

Support and Services, a business area of Saab, supplies a wide range of services and integrated support solutions to customers in defence and on commercial markets for cost-efficient support of systems and platforms throughout their life cycle.

Airborne ISR (a business unit within Support & Services) is currently leading a number of ongoing major aircraft modification/integration projects and we need to secure our sourcing capability with an experienced Strategic Procuremenet Manager. We deliver Surveillance Aircrafts (AEW/MPA/MSA) and our business interacts with other Saab Business Areas demanding exceptional cooperations skills. Good communication and cooperation is key words in our efforts to satisfy our customers needs. The Sourcing department ensures the BU supply chain capability and the strategic Purchasing is an important factor to secure supplier development of key components for our Mega projects.

Your role

As a Strategic Procurement Manager you support the projects and programs with sourcing and evaluating suppliers. Negotiations and  monitoring long-term agreements with our supplier base is a key factor to our sucess and you will be involved in early-stage products development, marketing activities including offset and countertrade sourcing.
You will also lead cross-functional supplier teams for cost reduction,  availability, securing long-term supplier support and insourcing potential.

Everyone in our sourcing team is very active in the continuous development of our methods and tools.

Your skills and experience

Who are you? 

  • You have a solid background in strategic purchasing of technical systems with negotiation and contract experience with international suppliers.
  • You have a strong drive and ability to take indipendent initiatives will be a key factore to your sucess
  • You have a strategic mindset with good project Management skills and an overall high focus on customer satisfaction.
  • You have Leadership abilities where you create both energy and trust.

Your educational background is probably at university level within engineering, economics and/or law. Excellent skills in English and Swedish, verbal as well as in writing are pre-requisites.
