We are now looking for a Team Leader with proven leading skills. You will belong to the Production and Delivery Organisation which is responsible for the smooth handling of our customer contracts. At SMT, the PD Department consists of System Engineering, Hardware, Documentation and Training as well as the Project IT team. You will be heading the Project IT team which currently consists of 3 Engineers.

As the Team Leader Project IT your task is to be part of and to manage and coordinate the Project IT team. This includes the development of IT concepts for customer specific Radio Monitoring and Business Intelligence Systems. The Systems consist typically of Linux based servers and Microsoft Windows based client solutions. Those systems require Operating System installations and networking interconnections. The systems need to be commissioned in-house and onsite at the customer premises, You will drive the continous improvement of our IT solutions of our customer systems.
We are looking for a person with the ability to penetrate complex issues and to work well with different people in order to get the best out of a team. You enjoy working in an environment where you have a mixture of technology, leadership and business acumen in your day to day work.
You have a technical degree in Computer Sciences, Information Technology or similar. You bring a very good knowledge in configuration of complex Linux systems, good knowledge in configuration of Microsoft Windows systems as well as solid skills in the area of network technologies. Ideally you also have skills in the area of map servers.
Your leadership skills are sound and your workstyle can be described as self driven, flexible, reliable and team oriented.
Strong communicative skills in English and ideally German both verbally and in writing is a requirement. Intercultural affinity and the willingness to travel complete your profile.
