TV4 claimed in its 7 pm news broadcast May 18, that "Saab is keeping the lid on". Saab's press secretary Ulrika Fager maintains that this is a complete misrepresentation:
"Today [May 18], we allowed the reporters Per Hermanrud and Erik Dalunde from TV4 News and the 'Kalla Fakta' documentary programme to visit Saab for 45 minutes in order to gain access to the document they had requested to see. We have also provided them with additional information about Sanip. This was all in order to present what we know at the present time that is relevant to the matter.
We have not released the names of individual employees, however, out of consideration for their integrity. Saab's CEO, Håkan Buskhe, has answered TV4's questions on several occasions throughout the last day, and I have as well.
Meanwhile, we are now conducting further investigations into TV4's document regarding consultant contracts in South Africa, and as soon as we have further information we will report this openly."
