Two Royal Thai Air Force Gripen aircraft from the 701 squadron at Wing 7, Surat Thani, took part in Wing 41´s air show 19 April in Chiang Mai.
The event is part of the ongoing celebrations during 2012, honouring 100 years since the founding fathers of RTAF first took to the Thai skies.

Group Captain Jakkrit Thammavichai, the 701 squadron leader, piloted a Gripen C in a flying display while a Gripen D was parked on static display on the tarmac.
This was the first time Gripen flew over the skies in Chiang Mai province. Around 30 000 visitors attended the air show.
The major jubilee event will be held 2 July 2012 at Don Muang airport in Bangkok.
