Switzerland’s Federal Council has today announced that a national public referendum is to be held 18 May concerning the procurement of Gripen E.
The referendum is scheduled for Sunday 18 May 2014 and is on the funding of Gripen E, specifically the Gripen Fund Law which received parliamentary approval in 2013. A positive outcome in the referendum is required for the procurement of Gripen E to progress.
The Swiss Government has decided to purchase 22 Gripen and related equipement.
