What you will be a part of

Business Unit Training & Simulation develops and manufactures training system mainly towards military users. The offer ranges from laser simulators and management systems to virtual simulators and e-learning. The products are based on a combination of electronics, advanced application development, IT technology with databases, optics, analog and digital radio technology and precision engineering. Training & Simulation operates globally with 450 employees spread out on the local sites in  Sweden, Germany, USA, UK, Canada, Norway, Holland, the Czech Republic, France, Slovenien, Kenya and Finland.

Recognizing Marketing & Sales as a professional discipline of its own, BU Training and Simulation will change the current role of Head of Marketing & Sales towards further developing our internal marketing & sales process. For this, we seek you, with a strong professional background in building and operating a Marketing & Sales organization


Your role

Scope of Work

  • Build / upgrade internal M&S organization, processes and tools
  • Lead a team of marketing and communication specialists, regional sales responsibles, bid managers and pricing specialists
  • Responsible for Marketing communication including events
  • Define and follow-up performance measurements for an effective and efficient M&S organization
  • Responsible for overall BU order intake, including local sales support functions
  • Part of BU Training and Simulation management team


  • Head of Business Development
  • Remaining functions in the organization as required
  • Local M&S function in USA (Site Orlando)
  • Bid support function in the Czech Republic (Site Slavkov)
  • Marketing professionals at Saab's Market Areas

This is a full-time position based in Huskvarna and involves some travelling, both in Sweden and abroad.

Your skills and experience

  • Proven record of building and/or operating an effective and efficient marketing & sales organization
  • Well acquainted with state-of-the-art marketing and sales artefacts (market plan, account plans, capture planning), CRM tools, bidding process and marketing
  • Experienced in acquisition / tender-based business
  • Fluent in Swedish and English
  • MSc or BSc in Marketing an Sales or equivalent
  • Experience in international, multi-cultural work environment

  • Strong leadership skills, able to prioritize, delegate and follow-up
