What you will be a part of

Dynamics, a business area of Saab, offers ground combat weapons, missile systems, torpedoes, sensor systems, unmanned underwater vehicles, signature management systems and training systems for armed forces as well as remotely operated vehicles and security systems for the offshore industry and nuclear power plants.

Business Unit Underwater offers unmanned underwater vehicle systems and weapons for Defence and Commercial markets. The portfolio includes both autonomous and remotely controlled systems. We have operations in Linköping, Karlskrona, Fareham (UK) and Aalborg (DK) and a test site in Motala.

Our team supports the business unit Underwater Systems in marketing and selling the product portfolio worldwide in close cooperation with Saab´s different Market Areas.

Your role

As Head of Marketing & Sales you will lead a team of 10 dedicated members in the marketing and sales organization and will be a member of the Business Unit Underwater Systems Management Team.

You report to the Head of Business Unit Underwater Systems and your main responsibility will be to manage and coordinate the marketing and sales efforts to secure the long term order intake. That includes working with strategy, operational excellence and organisational development.

You will have close interaction with the product owners and Business Development within Underwater System as well as Market Areas and other Business Units.

The job requires a fair amount of travels, mainly outside Sweden. These travels can both be related to specific customer interactions as well as general marketing events such as exhibitions and tradeshows. 

Your skills and experience

You have a technical or business degree from university or similar experience It is an advantage if you have experience from working with marketing and  sales in an international environment and if you have management experience.

As a person, you have a well-developed business sense with good ability to develop relationships and networks, you are interested in developing people as well as the organization and comfortable with working both within the strategic domain as well as dealing with the day-to-day business.

As we have  mainly international customers you must  manage English in a business environment both orally and in writing, Swedish or another Scandinavian language is preferable.    

This position includes access to classified information, therefore you are required to conduct a security screening in accordance with the Protective Security Act and be approved for security clearance by the authority.
