What you will be a part of

Dynamics, a business area of Saab, offers ground combat weapons, missile systems, torpedoes, sensor systems, unmanned underwater vehicles, signature management systems and training systems for armed forces as well as remotely operated vehicles and security systems for the offshore industry and nuclear power plants.

Business Unit Underwater offers unmanned underwater vehicle systems and weapons for Defence and Commercial markets. The portfolio includes both autonomous and remotely controlled systems.We have operations in Linköping, Karlskrona, Fareham (UK) and Aalborg (DK) and a test site in Motala.

Our team consists of around 10 designated people supporting the business unit Underwater Systems in marketing and selling the productportfolio worldwide in close cooperation with Saab´s different Market Areas.

Your role

As Sales Director you will work in close cooperation with several Market Area´s and their appointed customer sales responsibles through the whole Winning Business process, from initial contacts,during business development and offerings to negotiations and signing of contracts.

You will report to the Head of Marketing and Sales and your main role will be to manage both large scale complex offerings as well as standard offerings of the productportfolio towards both new and excisting customers.

You will have close interaction with both the different program and product owners of our portfolio as well as with the team of Business development and strategy as the key aspect in this role as products sales responsible is to set up and excecute a strategy to secure and win business.

The job requires a fair amout of travels, mainly outside Sweden. These travels can both be related to specific customer interactions as well as general marketing events such as exhibitons and tradeshows. 

Your skills and experience

You have a technical or business degree from university or experience from marketing and sales of complex systems on the export market.

It is an advantage if you have experience from working with sales and marketing and have business knowledge or experience from working in an international enviroment.

As a person, you have a well-developed business sense with good ability to develop relationships and networks.

You are comfortable with handling many customer contacts at the same time, a good presenter with good communication skills.

Your analytical capability is important to understand the customer requirements and system solutions.

Since you will have mainly international customers you will have to manage English in a business environment both orally and in writing, Swedish or another Scandinavian language is preferable.
